Jiaxing Pipa Yao Guofeng Tavern: Clair Brothers Top-tier Audio Reshapes the Oriental Acoustic Field

Project Background
In the bustling city of Jiaxing, Pipa Yao Guofeng Tavern has emerged as a prominent new landmark for cultural socializing, celebrated for its unique Oriental aesthetics and immersive performances. The tavern ingeniously blends traditional Chinese style with modern audio-visual technology, aiming to create a time-traveling feast for the senses for its guests. For a Guofeng (Chinese style) tavern that focuses on live residency performances and instrumental music, the sound system must not only possess high sound fidelity to accurately reproduce the delicate timbres of traditional instruments and the warm texture of vocals, but also ensure comfort within the social environment. To this end, after rigorous acoustic analysis, Pipa Yao ultimately introduced the internationally renowned top-tier professional audio brand, Clair Brothers, injecting a world-class auditory soul into this Oriental atmosphere.

System Configuration & Acoustic Highlights
Tailored to the venue’s characteristics and performance requirements, this project features a custom sound reinforcement solution that balances high-fidelity audio with uniform coverage, maximizing the exceptional performance of Clair Brothers:

  • Core Main PA: The system utilizes four KIT CURVE 12 12-inch curved array loudspeakers as the core of the main PA. They provide an extremely smooth frequency response and precise directivity control. In the performance of Guofeng music, the system perfectly restores the crispness and transparency of the instruments while rendering the vocals warm and full-bodied, laying a high-standard acoustic foundation for the entire tavern.
  • Full-Venue Fill Coverage: To ensure a consistent listening experience across all booth and loose table areas, six 12-inch two-way loudspeakers were evenly deployed around the perimeter as fill speakers. This multi-point distributed layout effectively eliminates the acoustic dead zones common in large spaces, allowing every guest to immerse themselves in a layered and detail-rich musical atmosphere, regardless of their location.
  • Precise Stage Monitoring: To guarantee the best performance state for resident singers and musicians, two 12-inch coaxial loudspeakers were specifically configured as stage monitors (side fills). The coaxial design delivers excellent phase consistency and precise sound image localization, allowing performers to hear their vocals and accompaniment clearly and without delay, greatly inspiring on-site interactive inspiration.
  • Powerful Low-Frequency Array: Low frequency is key to setting the tavern’s atmosphere. The system is anchored by a massive low-frequency array consisting of two CS218 dual-18-inch subwoofers and six single-18-inch subwoofers. With its astonishing depth extension and highly elastic transient response, the CS218 injects surging, non-boomy low-frequency energy into the venue. During the climax of the band’s performance, the impactful sound pressure strikes the heart while perfectly maintaining the clarity of the mid and high frequencies, truly achieving a sound that is “powerful yet not harsh.”

Project Summary
The Clair Brothers sound system at Jiaxing Pipa Yao Guofeng Tavern is not just a set of top-tier reinforcement equipment; it is an auditory masterpiece where Oriental elegance meets modern acoustic technology. From the delicate transparency of the KIT CURVE 12 to the surging tension of the massive subwoofer array, the entire system successfully manages the tavern’s complex acoustic environment with high redundancy and precise acoustic design. Whether for melodious Guofeng chanting or passionate live band performances, this system consistently delivers ultimate sound quality. It not only significantly elevates Pipa Yao’s hardware standards and guest experience but also sets a new benchmark for high-end Guofeng performance taverns in China.
