Originating from Excellence, Surpassing Excellence
Established in 2004, the Fujian Radio & Television Group is a comprehensive media powerhouse with one of the largest numbers of self-produced TV channels among provincial-level groups in China. Boasting a diverse range of channels that cater to audiences of all ages and cultural backgrounds, it stands as a rare, full-spectrum media group in the country and serves as a flagship media brand in Southeast China.
The audio systems for the 800-square-meter and 1,000-square-meter TV studio theaters represent the Fujian Radio & Television Center's most significant audio construction projects to date. Once completed, these facilities will handle a wide array of tasks, including live sound reinforcement and simultaneous program recording and broadcasting.
To meet these evolving trends and requirements—and to stay a step ahead—the Fujian Radio & Television Group selected world-class performing arts sound reinforcement systems for the live sound setups in its two large variety show studios (800 sqm and 1,000 sqm) at the new center. The installation features a host of internationally renowned audio products, including the SSL C100 HDS, Clair Brothers CAT114, CS18-II, FF-2HP, F-28P, R2T, WEDGE-P, Fostex CR-500, HHB UDP89, Avid 003 Factory, TC Reverb 4000, and many others.

Both the 800-square-meter and 1,000-square-meter studios are equipped with the SSL C100HDS, a world-class digital console. Originating from Solid State Logic, the renowned British manufacturer famous for its high-end large-format consoles, SSL has built a legendary reputation for exceptional audio quality. The integration of the C100HDS provides the entire studio sound reinforcement system with superior sound processing capabilities, unmatched stability, and that celebrated "world-class" sonic signature.

Fujian Radio & Television Group 1,000-square-meter Studio
The speaker system and design configuration for the 1,000-square-meter studio feature a Left-Center-Right (LCR) array. The main PA consists of CAT114 line arrays flown in pairs with CS18-II subwoofers, offering a coverage pattern of 100°H x 50°V, with each channel providing independent full coverage. When there is no T-stage, all three groups are active, creating a 3-channel stereo sound reinforcement mode. However, when the stage configuration changes to include a T-stage, the center array is muted to switch to a 2-channel stereo mode. This effectively resolves microphone feedback issues on the central T-stage and overcomes the challenge of being unable to place subwoofers on the stage itself.
For front fills, four F28-HP internally bi-amplified speakers are used, allowing for flexible portable placement to accommodate different stage layouts.
Rear audience fill is handled by four FF2-H externally bi-amplified 2-way speakers, flown above the rotating stage. This ensures proper coverage for the rear audience regardless of whether the stage is configured with T-stages on three sides, no T-stages on four sides, or T-stages on all four sides.
For monitoring, four R2T externally bi-amplified 2-way speakers serve as fixed monitors flown above the rotating stage to meet the performers' needs. Additionally, six Wedge-P internally bi-amplified wedge monitors are available as portable units for flexible deployment as required.

Fujian Radio & Television Group 800-square-meter Studio
The speaker design for the 800-square-meter studio is similar to that of the 1,000-square-meter studio: a Left-Center-Right (LCR) main array featuring CAT114 line arrays flown in pairs with CS18-II subwoofers. With a coverage pattern of 100°H x 50°V, each channel provides independent full coverage. For front fills, three F28-HP internally bi-amplified speakers are used.

Both the 1,000-square-meter and 800-square-meter studios utilize CB PLM10K-P 4-channel digital amplifiers. These amps feature gain, delay, crossover, and EQ processing, allowing for remote control and convenient data recall.
However, possessing the equipment is just the beginning. The true goal is to maximize the potential of the gear, and an even greater aspiration for many users is to make the system's performance exceed the value inherent in the products themselves. Truly excellent products require equally excellent system design concepts and integration capabilities to achieve a "1+1>2" synergy.
When the final speaker installation and system tuning for the Fujian Radio & Television Group studios were completed, the results even exceeded the client's expectations. As a professional team that has served the domestic pro audio field for years, Transtar Technology's dedication to technology and commitment to service allowed the client to focus entirely on program creation and production without worrying about system issues.
